Just a week ago we were saying that the Romelu Lukaku return to Inter looked almost impossible to engineer – now we’re hearing it could be announced as soon as today.
SempreInter report that the Corriere dello Sport print edition in Italy are saying that the loan return to his former club for Lukaku is all agreed, an astonishing turnaround and the result of what must have been an intense weekend of work from all parties.
Of course, unlike most deals, this one had serious time pressure on it to be completed before the end of June, when there is a deadline for the Italian “growth decree” for Serie A teams. That means they are heavily incentivised to complete their expensive moves now, but even given that, this has been a lightning quick transaction considering the size of the sums involved.
We doubt it’s announced today, but it now looks like it could happen this week. Hats off to all involved for making it happen.

Has Chelsea EVER come out ahead on a transfer? Don’t get me wrong, I am happy to be done with this Ass-clown, but it would be nice to get something close to what was shelled out. Should have been straight up exchange Lukaku for Skriniar. If not leave him on the bench until he accepts transfer somewhere else.

Lukaku is just one mistake too many by the club. He might have deceived the club into thinking he is the real deal, but what made us bought him in the first place? He’s a lazy chap.

The recruiting folks at Chelsea in the last 3 years have been to say it mildly clueless. Timo Werner, Lukaku, Alonso, Saul, Kepa, Pulisic in one team? How many crappy players do you need on a team before it’s tagged “Crappie Team”. I’m going to be a little more patient but I’m really losing hope with these new owners already; Kounde has been on the radar since last year, what’s taking so long?
