£30m price set for premier academy talent – but Tuchel wants to test him

Armando Broja has been linked with a few Premier League teams this summer, and the latest links seem to be the strongest of all.

We had heard of whispers about a return to Southampton or a move to Serie A to join Napoli, but in the last couple of weeks it’s been all Newcastle, with Everton joining the race over the weekend.

Newcastle have the mega money, but Everton are making the first concrete move, with the Evening Standard saying a £30m offer has been made by the Toffees for the striker.

The sticking point for all of this is what Thomas Tuchel wants to do with these players next season. He still hasn’t decided, and in most cases want to see them in preseason.

So while a £30m offer is clearly a very major consideration, nothing will be decided for some time while Tuchel gets another look at his stars.
