Levi Colwill is likely to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal this summer, following Chelsea’s decisive moves in the transfer market at the back in the last few days.
Today it was confirmed that Kalidou Koulibaly is going to join the club, and a deal for Nathan Ake seems very active. There’s also a move for Presnel Kimpembe in the works, although that feels a little more distant still.
Fabrizio Romano is the man saying that Colwill is likely to go:
More on Chelsea. Levi Colwill, now likely to leave on a permanent deal this summer – as Tuchel and Boehly are working to sign three top centre backs. 🚨🔵 #CFC

This is a bitter blow for many Chelsea fans, who have watched Colwill develop year on year in the youth teams, and then saw him excel in the Championship with Huddersfield last season.
After selling Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori in recent years and seeing them excel with other teams, this will be another stick to beat the club with – and a disappointing sign that nothing is going to change even with new ownership in place.
