Presnel Kimpembe “very close” to £38m move to Chelsea

Chelsea’s first defensive arrival of the summer was announced this morning, with Kalidou Koulibaly unveiled as the first man in to replace the outgoing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

But the Blues can’t – and won’t – stop there, and now it looks like the second man in is “very close” to making a similar switch, according to The Sun‘s report today.

Presnel Kimpembe has emerged as the favoured option for the club to accompany Koulibaly as part of a new look back line this season, with a £38m fee quoted in their piece.

The Paris Saint Germain defender worked with Thomas Tuchel in their shared time at the club, and the Chelsea manager is clearly doing his best to convince the France international that he would be well served following him to Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile PSG have targeted Sporting Club de Portugal central defender Goncalo Inacio as a replacement for the all action Kimpembe.

  1. Kimpembe is a good player, chelsea should sign him to add depth at the center back
Chelsea should also sign Jarrod Bowen from westham united, the man is a good scorer, he can add striking force to the attacking line

  2. Now Chelsea is awake and is getting back to where we want her to be. One more good defender and a back up for Rees James. Then Tuchel can think of something else.Conor Gallagher should no longer go on loan. Let’s try Broja in the front line.I think we are close to where we are going.

  3. Great move from Thomas but i also think kounde and kimpembe is a must signing for him.
