Just over two years ago, Armando Broja was a pretty obscure name even for Chelsea fans, after making progress in the youth teams without truly looking like a future star.
The two seasons to follow have seen him explode though – firstly on loan with Vitesse Arnhem in Holland, and then in the Premier League with Southampton.
While he’s still not a household name, he’s very much in demand with plenty of top level teams now, and an interesting piece on the Sky Sports website today breaks down why.
His demands for first team football make it seem like Chelsea aren’t going to be able to keep hold of him for the season to come now, which is a real disappointment. His explosive rise is impressive enough that we would dearly love the Albania international to get at least a chance to impress for Thomas Tuchel’s team.
