Chelsea played their second pre-season of the campaign over night against Charlotte in Florida.
The game finished in a 1-1 draw and Chelsea lost on penalties. Why they insist on penalties in these pre-season games is beyond me.

Anyway, Chelsea were not great and suffered the usual issues in attack not creating or finishing enough chances. There was no Timo Werner in the squad this time due to an apparent hamstring injury according to boss Thomas Tuchel.
However, there was some comments from Werner earlier in the week that seemingly hasn’t sat too well with Tuchel, judging by his reaction in the post-match press conference over night at least.
Werner mentioned that he might not be completely happy at Chelsea due to not being a nailed on starter, and that he could be happy elsewhere.
Tuchel, in the usual Tuchel style, snapped back to these comments when asked about them, as reported by Football London.
“I’m surprised,” Tuchel said when asked if he saw those comments and what he though. “I would be very happy as a young guy having a contract at Chelsea Football Club. I would be one of the happiest people on the planet.”
“So he needs to get his game time,” Tuchel then replied when told Werner was concerned about lack of game time. Show quality, take your place and defend your place. I would be one of the happiest people on the planet having a contract with Chelsea. If he said this, I do not understand.”
If he is not happy,he can as well leave like lukaku. We need players that are ready to die on the pitch for us. Adieu Timo
Let’s be realistic, like Thomas Tuchel dont know what’s doing this days, Can’t him get a striker that can fits in with Chelsea styles of play. am tired of him though, Chelsea need to replace Lukaku ofcourse. i expect much more from Chelsea this season than nonsense plans of coach and owners
When you treat people like trash, you bring out the beast in them. I would say Timo is a great player, have quality but lack confidence. He just needs the support of Tuchel and the confidence is back.

We had better striker (Tommy Abraham)than Timo W,but he wasn’t given much play time.
Maybe T .T has no clue for strikers.(We shall see this coming season)
