The story of Jules Kounde’s move to Chelsea seemed like it was ending yesterday.
After a week where interest had really ramped up, multiple top sources reported that there was a deal in place for £55m, and that the France defender was just a step away from joining the Blues.
Just as with Raphinha, lots of Chelsea fans piled onto social media to mock Barcelona for failing to land their man.
But this morning, Gerard Romero blew that all up by saying an agreement had been made between the Catalan club and the player overnight.

He rated a 99% chance of Kounde being a Barcelona player at the end of the window.
The life was sucked out of the many gloating Chelsea fans at that moment – although there’s still a flicker of hope. While Romero is well connected, none of the big Chelsea names are rowing back on their claims just yet.
By the end of today, we could well know the final answer.
This is getting way beyond a joke. Kounde DOES NOT WANT TO JOIN US !!!!!! Move on, and get someone else .How do you possibly get the best from a player who is only at his back-up club. He has had plenty of time to choose us, but did not, BE REALISTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the club is SO INSISTANT IN GETTING KOUNDE, let them have Stan Azpi, for free, providing they drop their interest in Kounde !!!!!!! Seems the logical move.

If Kounde wanted to sign for chelsea, he would have by now. Chelsea’s bid was accepted 4 days ago now, then Kounde runs off to Portugal to waste time on Barcelona’s orders ! Everything Barcelona is doing is to give them time to raise the the cash . Barcelona have no intention of losing out
Just retract the bid and refuse to do any business with Barcelona again. Keep azpi and Alonso or sell them elsewhere . They’re a disgrace to football.
