Chelsea are well and truly involved in yet another battle with Barcelona to sign a player this summer.
After the Raphinha saga, where Chelsea agreed a fee to sign him but he ended up going to Barcelona, Blues fans are getting de ja vu now with the Jules Kounde deal.
Chelsea’s squad desperately needs a rebuild.
Barcelona are stepping up with their attempts to sign him now, and the battle is on.
As Fabrizio Romano reminds us below, the key difference between the Raphinha and Kounde situations are though, Raphinha didn’t even respond to Chelsea’s offer of personal terms, whereas Kounde has willingly discussed those terms and some would say, verbally agreed to them.

The is too much delaying to secure our targetsa infact they’re really breaking our hearts why ? U’ve been chasing this guy since last summer to me personally is like u guys don’t really need him like u have done that first even before Koulibaly arrived. Right now is up to guys to change ur strategy n up ur game becos we have just about two weeks to go n yet we still need more additoonal players at the defence, the wing backs the midfield n the attackers so guys have a very big task ahead of us.
