Barcelona are about to complete the signing of top Chelsea target Jules Kounde.
The nightmare doesn’t end there for Chelsea fans, unfortunately. THe well connected Cadena Cope writer Helena Condis has added on her Twitter feed today that the arrival of Kounde will not affect the Catalan club’s pursuit of Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Xavi wants both players, not just Kounde, and that’s a major issue for Chelsea.
They had been willing to let their captain go for a nominal fee earlier this summer, but their failure to land any targets at the back beyond Kalidou Koulibaly may force them rethink things.
It’s not clear if they will feel unhappy by the way Barca have dealt with the Kounde situation, but the Spanish side don’t appear to have done anything other than offer the Sevilla man a more convincing project to join up with.
It may prove damaging to dressing room morale to stand in Azpi’s way.
