The news that Chelsea are in talks with Brighton for Marc Cucurella has a lot of people scratching their heads.
At first we dismissed it as a bit of chatter leaked to try and get Man City to up their bid – but we’re increasingly convinced it’s true.
Buying a left back when we’ve got three senior players on the books in that position already is just bizarre.
As per @David_Ornstein, Chelsea are in talks with Marc Cucurella from Brighton. Real chance of agreeing a £50m+ deal if Manchester City don't meet the asking price and talks ended for now. Cucurella really wants to play under Pep, but #MCFC feel the fee is too high.

It’s even stranger when you consider the glaring weaknesses elsewhere. We need a central defender, a central midfielder, a striker, and even a backup right wing back much more than a four first teamer to play down the left.
It’s hardly like there are teams queueing up to take Emerson and Marcos Alonso off our hands either.
The only explanation we can come up with is our original theory that this really is a move from the player designed to force Man City’s hand – but we will see in the days to come.

If two of chels3a defenders end up at barcelona or some where else then I see why we go for Brighton player I this think we need spine of team centre half midfielder and forward or winger or both
