Everton reportedly not pursuing a move for Chelsea striker despite claims

There’s been some reports recently of Everton potentially making a move to sign a Chelsea striker this summer.

However, those claims have been debunked, at least according to Simon Jones of The Daily Mail anyway.

Benjamin Sesko to Chelsea?

He says that despite recent claims, Everton are not pursuing a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.

The striker is keen to play regular first team football, but the Toffees have opted against pursuing the Belgian international this summer, per the report from Jones.

Frank Lampard has always thought to be an admirer of Batshuayi, but perhaps they don’t see him as the answer to replace Richarlison after all. The Brazilian leaving has been a big blow for Lampard and Everton, and they will certainly need to fill the void.

Personally, I don’t think this is the last we will hear on a potential Batshuayi to Everton move this window, at least in my own opinion.
