Chelsea are ready to send out another development squad stalwart for his first taste of senior football.
Xavi Simons has long been regarded as a real talent, and after working his way up through the ranks and filling out physically he’s now ready for senior football on loan.
Nathan Gissing reports that there’s serious interest in taking him on loan from several clubs in the football league.
The addition of Cesare Casadei today means his central midfield slot in the Development Squad will already have been taken.
Xavier Simons could leave Chelsea on loan this window to gain first-team experience. Simons has interest from clubs in the EFL. 🏴

Chelsea still rate Simons as a player, or at the very least as an asset. After years of regular action in the youth sides, he was given a new contract in June.
We expect him to join a Championship team on loan before the end of this window, where he can finally show what he’s all about to more than just Chelsea youth fans.
