Thomas Tuchel’s press conference yesterday was a classic August mix of match preview and transfer chat, but there was also some talk about a new contract for the Chelsea manager.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard whispers on this topic, but of course the change of ownership earlier this year put all previous discussions to the side.
Thomas Tuchel confirms he’s now in concrete negotiations with Chelsea to extend contract: “There are talks, yes”. 🚨🔵 #CFC
“My people talk to the owners and take care of everything else. You know how glad I am to be here and how much I like it”, Tuchel added. pic.twitter.com/XI2rnJ2Mjc

Now Todd Boehly and co. are in charge and have their feet under the table, and they seem to keen to keep Tuchel on.
They’ve backed him in the transfer market, and now want to show faith by giving him a new contract himself.
“There are talks” Tuchel confirmed.
“My people talk to the owners… you know how glad I am to be here and how much I like it.”
He’s survived one of the most tumultuous 6 month periods in the club’s history, and if he can make it through that, he can make it through anything. The future is very bright, and a new deal for Tuchel will only make it brighter.

Tuchel solo te diré una cosa, “ROTACIÓN” no congeles pero tampoco quemes a los jugadores. Espero de alguna manera llegue estos a tus oídos por el bien de mi Chelsea
