For now at least, the saga continues. The Wesley Fofana transfer saga has become ‘one of those’ sagas.
Love them or hate them, they happen all the time, and it is perfectly normal for negotiations to be dragged out this long when the final fee is expected to be so high. It has to be a deal that all parties are happy with.
Fofana was left out of the Leicester squad at the weekend, and many believe that he might have played his last game for Leicester last weekend, with a move to Chelsea pending.
It’s not done yet, but it does now appear to be closer than ever. Insider Ben Jacobs, who is a Leicester fan, had the very latest on the deal in one of his usual detailed threads late last night which he posted on Twitter.
He says Chelsea are confident of getting the deal done now after more meaningful dialogue this week.

🗣️ Rodgers on whether Fofana asked to be left out or it was his decision. "It was both of us. It was off the back of an open conversion." #CFC see Fofana as their top priority before the window shuts. https://t.co/PD33yOjuQY

After Leicester rescued fofana, from a poor French league he joined Leicester and doubled his salary. Early last season he got a serious injury and Leicester got him back to some form of fitness and still paid him. Fofana, has not kicked a ball for Leicester in loyalty terms and recently signed a 5 year deal. Bonkers tuchel and Chelsea are welcome to him he is no rudiger and injury prone.fofana, will hopefully end up like Maguire at man utd,he will never be welcome back at the king power we don’t forget ….
