The injury to N’Golo Kante means that Conor Gallagher gets a start in midfield, and it’s an important day for the academy product, who could kickstart his season and maybe even his Chelsea career with a good showing today and in the games to come.
We had expected Reece James to come back to right wing back, having seen off the threat of Heung Min Son and Harry Kane, but he plays at centre back again, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek staying down the right.
