Callum Hudson-Odoi is close to a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen.
The winger clearly thinks he’s out of the picture at Chelsea after not getting a single minute in the games so far this season, and he will head out on loan to the Bundesliga.
That’s according to Nizaar Kinsella, whose piece in the Evening Standard claims that there were numerous teams from several leagues interested in the winger.
Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi close to joining Bayer Leverkusen on season long loan. His brother Bradley & his father are in advanced talks with Leverkusen. As many as 20 clubs were interested. Still work to do but willingness from all parties to get deal done. #CFC #Bayer04 https://t.co/H2pXT8yB4J

That included Leicester, Newcastle and Southampton in the Premier League, Sevilla in La Liga, and Leverkusen’s rivals Borussia Dortmund.
After a bright start to his career at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi has just not been able to perform to those same levels since, and will hope that regular football gets him back on track and fulfilling his huge potential.
It appears he will be replaced by Anthony Gordon of Everton, who the Blues are preparing to spend big on.
We still believe CHO can be a really good player – hopefully playing every week helps him do that.
