Chelsea have been handed a relatively easy Champions League group for this season.
The big boys are AC Milan, who won Serie A last season but don’t look nearly as strong now.
Then there’s RB Salzburg – always brimming with talent but without the kind of superstars to really compete – and Dinamo Zagreb.
For the fans, trips to Austria, Croatia and Italy will do nicely in terms of appeal and distance.
The Blues will hope to get a couple of wins against Milan to set up easier games towards Christmas against the other two where Thomas Tuchel can potentially rotate his team a little, knowing that qualification is secure.
You can never count your chickens in the Champions League – especially not on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Leeds – but this could have been a lot harder, and if that means we get to see more young talent on the pitch, we’re all for it.

Goddamit,we are Milan, and yes we always lose and you boys at england
Chelsea has been unconvincing so far. AC Milan is better than us right now. If you are losing 3-0 to Leeds then Milan and RB Salzburg who both won their league last year become tougher tests.
Of course a signing or two can change that.. but I wouldn’t be booking Rd of 16 tickets based on what this team has showed so far.
Based on the performances this Chelsea side has shown so far. This is NOT an easy group at all. Salzburg beat Bayern in a Rd of 16 UCL game last season. AC Milan have a young exciting team that did finish last in their UCL group but beat Atleti and run Liverpool close in BOTH games…. On top of winning the Serie A. Zagreb have an intense home stadium that’s tough to play in.
The Champions league never gives “easy” games sobwe cannot underestimate anybody.
I mean if you can lose 3-0 to Leeds then playing 3 teams that each won their league last season becomes a test.
Champion league is a different ball game. Forget about loosing to Lead united. We will run them over including the Milan I bet anybody
Tuchel is a good coach he plays joker with games but not Champion league. Up Blues.
