The season is up and running with our first midweek game of the campaign coming tomorrow night against Southampton.
Thomas Tuchel has been taking his press conference, and he admitted that he felt his squad was a little short heading in to the new season.
“Right now, I think we could need some more players in some positions,” he admitted in quotes picked up by Football.London.
As always, he followed up by saying that he will be a “happy coach” no matter what happens, and that he just looks forward to getting on with things with the squad he has.
Central midfield is an obvious gap, with N’Golo Kante out injured, Mateo Kovacic still recovering fitness and Conor Gallagher out suspended for tomorrow’s game.
There’s also a hole to be filled up top, with the club still scrambling to replace Romelu Lukaku. As Tuchel admits, here’s not long left and a lot to do.

I don’t understand this at all, meanwhile you’re not giving Ziyech and Pulisic the chance to blend with the team. I can say we were lucky last year because many of the teams we beat were taken by surprise but it’s going to be harder this year for us. I’ve said we should even look at our goalkeeper, the guy is loing it.
You’re right. Though as a coach, he has his reasons best known to him concerning the above mentioned players but Harvetz is not good enough in making the required goals. He makes good moves but he misses targets a lot. He should be played more as a midfielder not a forwarder. The combination of Sterling and Aubumayang will be wonderful.

This Thomas Tuchel please what’s wrong with you the squad that won ten against 11 why did you change them and stop buying defenders and get us good quality two strikers for our team Chelsea to be in shape.
