Last season Chelsea were top of the league and looking fantastic as we reached the Autumn, and it all peaked with a brilliant 4-0 win over Juventus.
That was one of the best showings from the Blues we’ve seen in years, but it also led to our downfall. Ben Chilwell got an injury that night that he’s still not recovered from, and N’Golo Kante also picked up an issue that kept him out for 3 months.
Thomas Tuchel spoke after tonight’s defeat to Southampton, and drew some parallels with that game.
His words were open, honest, and quite scary:
“What it reminded me of was Juventus last season. We played a fantastic match last season but then we had Chilly out for eight months and Kante out for three months. We had a fantastic match against Tottenham but then our key player is out for six weeks. Conor is out. Ruben has injury. Mateo Kovacic has an injury from pre-season and Reece wasn’t here today,” the Chelsea boss said in quotes picked up by Football.London.
“With out demands, it’s simply like that. It would be more important if these key players are missing, we need to show a different mentality.”
It was a pretty shocking showing, and we can only hope it doesn’t end up ruining our season like that Juventus game did.

He is lying. He is totally lost and doesn’t know what to do after he created this negative atmosphere inside the club amongst the players. He is done and dusted!!!!!!
Tuchel does not know want he wants. If he doesn’t bring in Ronaldo before the close of transfer, I promise him Chelsea fc will find herself in relegation zone.
