The signing of Wesley Fofana for around £70m today has rocketed Chelsea to the top of the table of spending in Europe.
The Blues now lead West Ham, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest as the continent’s main wallet openers.
And we’re not done yet – we could yet sign Rafael Leao and increase our lead at the top of the table. Josko Gvardiol has been linked too.
It’s not quite the Premier League table, but it looks like it’s going to be the closest we get to that for a while.
