It sounds like Chelsea are going defensive midfielder crazy with 24 hours left in this summer window.
Just hours ago we reported on the Blues’ interest in Edson Alvarez of Ajax, and that’s been followed up by word of similar interest in the Mexican defensive midfielder’s equivalent at PSG, Ibrahim Sangare.
PSV kan Ibrahim Sangaré ook nog kwijtraken, Chelsea meldt zich voor de middenvelder. Zie:
🏴Chelsea in for Ibrahim Sangaré, who was in the eyes of former coach Roger Schmidt a top level player. Also Ruud van Nistelrooij very keen on him.

Rik Elfrink covers PSV and it’s his report on a bid that has emerged tonight. Sangare has been linked with a move for some time, and plenty of fans on social media of several Premier League teams have begged their side to sign him, but until now nothing has seemed close.
Maybe this late swoop was planned all along, or maybe it was just the injuries and the results that have convinced those in charge that this squad is desperately short of a number 6.
Whatever the reality, it’s going to be an exciting final 24 hours of the window for Blues fans.
