Chelsea have agreed a fee of around £9m to sell Billy Gilmour to Brighton.
With the deadline closing in, the midfielder looked likely to stay put, or perhaps go out on loan, but it seems Thomas Tuchel has given the green light for the Scotland international to leave after not giving him a squad number this season until Tuesday night’s game.
It’s a sad end for a player who never got a second chance at Chelsea. His first run in the team was brilliant, and it was only an injury and then the sacking of Frank Lampard that stopped him getting more chances.
Last season his loan to Norwich was a disaster, and Tuchel never looked interested in giving the Scot a chance to play for him.
We wish him the best at Brighton – we’re still convinced he will be a success in the Premier League when given a proper chance.

Tuchel grandicimo idiota! Me cago @#$!!
Tuchel – self opinionated – set in his ways – no time for youth ( look at the players he’s bought
Tim to go
