Chelsea have completed the signing of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, a deal that was done just minutes before the deadline.
It’s been in the works for some time, and as recently as 48 hours ago the deal looked to be off, but in the end the people upstairs at both clubs have managed to get it over the line.
It is in effect a part-exchange deal for Marcos Alonso, who has apparently had his contract terminated so that he can join Barcelona at a later date.

Chelsea are paying something in the region of £12m to bring former Arsenal striker Aubameyang back to the Premier League.
The desperation to sign attacking talent and bring goals to the team was pretty clear once Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner had left, so we can only hope that Auba does a better job than them in that department.
He’s old – but hopefully gold as well.
