Chelsea have finished this transfer window with a bang, bringing in Denis Zakaria from Juventus on loan.
The Switzerland international joined the Old Lady from Borussia Monchengladbach in January but wasn’t able to make much of an impact thanks to injuries and Covid.
He was highly rated before that move however, and can hopefully perform at Chelsea on another level.

A defensive midfielder, Zakaria will hopefully provide the backup to N’Golo Kante that we need in this squad.
The first few weeks of this season have shown how thin we are in midfield, and while we have plenty of front foot options, we need some more defensive minded options.
A loan deal with an option to buy is a perfect set up for us, with limited risk and major potential rewards if he does well.
With the injury issues we have in midfield, he could make his debut sooner rather than later.
