Thomas Tuchel explains when Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will play again

Chelsea secured two new signings last night, and today Thomas Tuchel was able to take a press conference with that in mind.

He explained how much of an impact they could make, in particular Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the forward who arrives from Barcelona to try and bring us some goals.

Unfortunately for us (and more unfortunately for him) he was attacked in his him in Barcelona last week and left with a broken jaw, while will have to recover before he can feature for his new team.

Tuchel had some information about when the forward was going to be able to return to action:

“At the moment, he cannot train, we just have make sure he gets a mask,” the Chelsea coach explained in quotes picked up by Football.London.

“We need to provide him a mask to protect his jaw and then we can start to try with the mask from next week.”

Even in the best case scenario, it sounds like we will have a few games still to play without him. The front 3 of Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling that we’ve seen so far will likely get a few more chances, despite struggling all season so far.
