Kalidou Koulibaly came to Chelsea this summer many years after first being linked to the club.
In the meantime, Chelsea had successfully signed one of his teammates and friends, Jorginho.
Now the pair are reunited at Chelsea, and the club took that chance for a lovely slice of content at Cobham, where the two discuss their separate paths, and how they’ve ended up together again at Chelsea.
Koulibaly explained how proud he was of his friend – who had already battled against the odds to make it in Europe – and how he had come to Chelsea and turned around the preconceptions that he was just brought in as a sop to Maurizio Sarri, the man who coached them both in Naples.
Jorginho says he felt like a “boy” arriving at Chelsea, who had to work hard to gain people’s respect.
