Chelsea’s new era begins tonight, and the games do not come much bigger, or at least the competition.
The Blues welcome RB Salzburg in the Champions League this evening and not only will it be Graham Potter’s first game in charge of his new club, but it will also be his first game in charge in the Champions League. This just goes to show the lack of experience Potter has compared to the usual manager’s we have seen hired at Chelsea in recent years.
Sources: Chelsea very close to appointing new Director of Football!
But it isn’t necessarily about that for Chelsea’s new owners. According to The BBC, they are more buying into the person of Graham Potter and his credentials.
In fact, the report claims that Chelsea believe Potter has the credentials to build a legacy similar to the likes of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City or Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Senior Chelsea sources have told The BBC that Potter has shown he can do more with less and have now afforded him a golden opportunity to help re-shape the club.

In my humble view if Graham Potter really has the credentials to build a legacy at Chelsea similar to Pep Guardiola at Man City then i’ll encourage him to take his time n watch all our previous matches from Lampard era to the arrival of Tuche upto his last game n take a careful notice of their mistakes n make sure u do not repeat them but rather learn from their mistakes to build our current team to progress steadily to start winning our future games becos winning games whether our team play well or not that’s our tradition n beginning to build that winning mentality into the team which will boast their confidence in that regards. But pls stop using Sterling as a wingback becos that was what Tuchel was doing to Odoi frustrating the young man. Let each one of the players play at their rightful positions for them to enjoy the game n perform well to their ability. I also like to ask our new coach this question, why do u let Silva n Azpilicueta played all the 90minute while Koulibaly n Fofana seat on the bench ? No wonder we conceded a late goal, Koulibaly who plays just like Rudiger could have make the first clearance or intercepted the second cross so in my opinion u make a big mistake in that aspect. Silva is now about 38yrs old that is why i’m suggestiing to u to convience Todd Boehly or the incoming Sporting Director to sign ur former defender Adam Webster as a backup for Silva, Moises Caicedo as a backup for Kante, Ajax’s Edson Alvarez as a backup for Kovacic, Wilfred Zaha to bring some addition firework upfront all these addition should be in January window. Then u can start preparing the ground for next summer window targets such as Josko Gvardiol as a backup for Koulibaly, Decline Rice to replace Jorginho then perhaps if Ziyech n Pulisic may leave then Christopher Nukunku n Rafael Leao or even the young Ghanaian playing for Ajax Kudus. Pls our dear new coach do ur home work well becos we Chelsea funs hate to be loosing games win win win is the order of the day at Chelsea so follow that path then we the Chelsea funs all over the world will be excited enjoying our matches n i wish u the best of luck to take Chelsea to the next level. Thanks for ur attention
One other thing i want Graham Potter to be aware of is how the competition are many, they’re going to be playing matches every three days so fatigue n injuries can destroy ur team therefore how important it is to have the listed backup names secure in the January window to strenghten the squad so that whether the’s injury, fatigue or not the’ll still be enough quality replacement. These are few secret behind winning trophies so Graham Potter pls once again do ur home work well. Thanks for ur attention.
