According to The Evening Standard, Brazilian club Santos have already rejected an approach from Chelsea to buy them.
Santos have a famous academy, whose most famous graduates include Pele and Neymar, but the Brazilian giants were not interested.
Chelsea are now expected to re-group and look at smaller clubs in Brazil.
They are also still searching elsewhere for other clubs as well as they look to make their own brand a global brand and scale out in terms of ownership.
