There are still ten minutes to go until the teams for today’s match against Wolves are released, but we’re hearing word from Nathan Gissing that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will start for Chelsea.
We’re delighted to hear it, as huge RLC fans. He was superb in midweek against AC Milan, and now gets the chance to impress his new manager in the Premier League too.
In the game on Wednesday night, Loftus-Cheek brought a huge amount of class and composure on the ball, as well as a more dynamic physical presence in the middle than either Mateo Kovacic or Jorginho, one of whom will presumably start alongside him today.

It’s not all down to Potter of course – this gradual return to prominence has been a year in the making, with RLC starting out as a versatile squad player for Thomas Tuchel almost a year ago, and gradually working his way back into the team on a more regular basis since then.
