It’s only a couple of years since Jody Morris was Chelsea assistant manager, so he knows the group and the club almost as well as when he was a player.
He’s the perfect person to give his opinion on the opening weeks of Graham Potter’s time at the club, and on Sky Sports today he was extremely positive.
He picked one feature in particular he liked – the players coming off the bench to succeed.
We saw it with Conor Gallagher’s winner against Crystal Palace, and again with the subs against Milan and then yesterday against Wolves.
It’s a big group and hard to keep them happy, but the new man seems to be doing a great job so far. There are plenty of games to go around, and all of the squad are trying their hardest to impress their new coach.
