Mason Mount earned the penalty for Chelsea tonight against AC Milan, and won the man of the match award at full time.
One Twitter user pointed out that this meant that the midfielder has a goal or assist at the Bernabeu, Wanda Metropolitano, Estadio Dragao and Wembley. Incredibly, he’s still not yet 23.
He’s already lifted the trophy of course, and it was on that path that he picked up so many of these efforts. The one at the Dragao, of course, was the assist for the winner in the final against Manchester City.
Mount now has a goal or assist at the San Siro, Wembley, Bernabeau, Wanda, and the Dragao, all before 23.

He was hardly a prodigy – it’s not like he was in the Chelsea team at 16 – he’s just unbelievably consistent and mature for a player his age. He hasn’t had the best start to the season, but just like last year, he’s warming up nicely through the Autumn, and now it really feels like he’s in top gear.
