SportBild in Germany go heavy on Chelsea’s Bundesliga power moves in today’s edition.
They note that the double deal to bring Josko Gvardiol and Christopher Nkunku, two RB Leipzig players, to the club next summer will cost about €150m, but also that that might not be the new ownership’s biggest investment either.
Perhaps the most in demand player in the whole of Europe next summer will be Jude Bellingham, and Chelsea are reportedly going to join the race for him too.
The Blues are apparently set to offer €100m for the midfielder, but Dortmund are holding out for €120m.
It’s an insane amount of money, but you can see why they’re ready to try their luck. When you have Chelsea, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City all chasing your star player, you don’t drop your asking price one cent. Equally, Chelsea will know there’s no use playing hardball with a team that will be flooded with other offers.
