Graham Potter ready to manage big players and big egos – like Adam Lallana

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s comments about Mikel Arteta and his ability to manage big players and big egos caught a lot of attention this week, and they were put to Graham Potter today in his press conference.

Was he confident that he would be able to manage the top stars, in a way which Arteta was accused of not being able to?

Potter thinks so. In quotes picked up by Football.London Chelsea coach pointed to Adam Lallana and Danny Welbeck as players who he had managed who had had big international careers.

No offense to Potter, but we’re not sure they’re quite on the level of some of the stars that Chelsea have had and will have.

Still, as long as we’re winning there won’t be any problems. The issues will come, as always, when the results start to slip, and when the pressure starts to rise on the coach, who has no experience at this very top echelon of managing.
