Revealed: Chelsea’s plans for the right back position after latest Reece James injury

Chelsea and Reece James have suffered another pretty big setback this season, with the right back being out injured now for the next 6-8 weeks.

It looks like he has at least avoided surgery for now, but concerns will grow about the England international becoming a little too injury prone. He is Chelsea’s best player in my view, but this is the second season we face a lengthy spell without him.

Over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, sources have revealed to us the plans for that area of the pitch and whether Chelsea are looking to sign a new right back or not, as extra cover.

As the report states, we are told it is highly unlikely that a new right back will be signed in January, but they are looking at options for the summer now, with current on loan option Dujon Sterling being a consideration, as well as a potential buyback of Tino Livramento at Southampton.
