Erik Ten Hag is looking increasingly settled as Manchester United manager, so it’s easy to forget what a rocky start he got off to in the Premier League.
His Red Devils were beaten by Graham Potter’s Brighton on the opening day of the season at Old Trafford, in what felt like an important moment for both.
Potter’s team kept up that early form and did well enough for him to be given the Chelsea job a month later.
Ten Hag has since stabilised things and now has his United team looking really good.
Tomorrow, the Dutchman gets the chance to face Potter again, and he referenced that first game in his comments in the press conference today.

"Now I know more about him and maybe in the first game [vs Brighton] he knew more about me, Man Utd. It is not a fight between managers."

His argument was that he was new to the league then, and Potter knew more about him than he knew about Potter.
