The news has just surfaced regarding Chelsea’s Armando Broja and the severity of the injury he sustained in the friendly match against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues lost the game in Abu Dhabi, but there was a harrowing scene that really clouded anything else around the game. Striker Broja let out a tremendous scream when he went in for a tackle with the defender and he went down in agony clutching his knee.

Of course, the most fearful thoughts were that he had done his ACL, and unfortunately, according to Nizaar Kinsella of The Evening Standard today, that is exactly what he has done.
This means that the injury is at the very least, season ending for Broja, who will now undergo surgery on his knee.

As per the same report, Chelsea might now look to dip into the January market to sign a new striker to replace Broja, who could be out for up to 12 months as a worst case scenario.
