Information via Sam Lee from The Athletic  reveals that Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling had no choice but to chose a transfer to Chelsea or to be forced to stay at Manchester City, where he had been wanting out for a long time.
Raheem is one of the most successful English players this country has seen and has also racked up over 100 Premier League goals as a winger to go alongside his trophy haul. Despite this, Sam Lee writes that moves in the summer to Spanish giants or PSG were never possible whilst Sterling was very much open to a move back to his old club Liverpool, but that move was a non-starter anyway.
Taking all this into the equation, Sterling was pretty much forced to move to Chelsea or stay at Manchester City where he had grown increasingly unhappy with a lack of playing time.
Chelsea fans will be hoping to see some better performances Raheem once he returns back from injury soon after spells of inconsistency from the forward.
