Islam Feruz agrees Chelsea stay

Highly-rated Chelsea youngster Islam Feruz has agreed a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

Feruz has agreed terms on a new deal to keep him in west London until 2018. He is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the country and the Blues were determined to secure his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

The Somali born youngster arrived in west London from Celtic in 2011 in a £300,000 deal, but is yet to make his senior debut for the club, though he did play for the Blues in their pre-season tour of Asia last summer.

Islam Feruz is a key figure for national team

He remains a key figure for Scotland as well, with the 18-year-old having represented his national side at four different age levels, including Under 21.

The skilful attacker is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Stamford Bridge and big things are expected of the 5″4 striker, especially given that one of the only weaknesses of this Chelsea team reside in the striking department.

Chelsea could decide to loan out Feruz in the future so that he can some valuable first-team action under his belt before making the step up to Mourinho’s side.
