Stewart Robson was on ESPN today where he did a great job of calming down any Chelsea fans getting too excited after a positive result in our first friendly.
Yes it was a 5-0 win, but against a League Two team, and as Robson pointed out, with a bunch of players who probably won’t even start for us by the time we have our first league game of the season. He named Nicolas Jackson as the one player from our starting team on Wednesday who might start once again in our first Premier League game and we’d have to disagree – Andrey Santos and Trevoh Chalobah may also have a chance, injury depending.
So he’s right – let’s not get excited given this is not the kind of team we will be putting out, nor the kind of team we will be facing.
