Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has left Chelsea and joined Marseille.
It’s not clear whether a fee was involved, but reports in recent days had claimed that the Blues were going to waive a fee in order to shift the striker as quickly as possible.
It clears more room in the dressing room, gets another unhappy face off the training pitch, and lowers the wage bill once again. This fresh start is really getting us somewhere, and there are just a couple of players left at Cobham to be flushed away.

In the end, Aubameyang scored just three goals, all within the bright patch in the season which followed Graham Potter’s appointment.
A short statement on the website thanks Pierre and wishes him well in the future – which is pretty much how we feel. It would be hard to argue he really bust a gut and left everything out on the pitch for us, but when you were playing in a team where nobody else is either, that’s more understandable.
