Wenger hits out at Jose

Arsene Wenger says critiques made by Jose Mourinho are more embarrassing for Chelsea than they are for him.

We all know Jose likes to get into wars of words with rival managers, and we all know what happened last week with Manuel Pelligrini, the manager of Manchester City.

So when Arsene Wenger pretended that Mourinho was worried about failing, the Special One was quick to answer critics and hit out at Arsene Wenger by calling him “a specialist in failure”.

Last night Wenger saw his side progress to the quarter finals of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Liverpool at the Emirates. After the game, Wenger said Mourinho’s comments were silly, stupid and disgraceful.

“The only thing I know is it’s more embarrassing for Chelsea than for me. I’m embarrassed for him, honestly. I’m not interested in the subject at all. That is really genuine.”

Arsenal goalkeeping legend Bob Wilson backed Arsene Wenger as he told BBC Radio 5 Live that Mourinho is a “bully” engaging in “boring” mind games.

Chelsea will face Everton in a Premier League tie this weekend at the Bridge.
