Plenty of players impressed through Chelsea’s preseason, from Ian Maatsen playing out of position to Bashir Humphreys coming from nowhere to play a lot of minutes.
But nobody enhanced their reputation more than Nicolas Jackson, who tore through defences, scored goals, worked hard and assisted his teammates.
