ESPN have been asking their main pundits for their predictions for the season ahead, and today it was Frank Leboeuf’s turn.
He suggested that Chelsea could finish second this year, replicating a kind of Arsenal-like bounce where they rapidly climb the table after a bad year. Of course he wouldn’t deny he has some bias, but he’s not saying this just for fun – he clearly thinks we’re set for big improvements.
Of course his main antagonist in this prediction was notorious Chelsea hater Craig Burley, who couldn’t for a second accept that Chelsea (without European football) might manage to finish second.
