Chelsea vs Liverpool – Team News

Chelsea face Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!

In Mauricio Pochettino’s first starting XI for Chelsea, and surprisingly so, it looks like he has gone with a 3-5-2. Robert Sanchez makes his Chelsea debut after signing from Brighton this summer. He starts in goal and is supported by a back three of Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva and Levi Colwill.

Reece James takes on the role of club captain and lines up as a right wing-back,  while Ben Chilwell occupies the left wing-back position.

The midfield trio consists of Carney Chukwuemeka, Conor Gallagher, and Enzo Fernandez. Upfront, Raheem Sterling partners with new signing Nicolas Jackson.

It is exciting to see how this lineup performs in the season opener against Liverpool.

Here are the full team line-ups for Chelsea vs Liverpool (kick off at 16:30 pm GMT)

  1. After so many poor performances in pre season games how can you possibly start Sterling,as I have mentioned before it’s like starting with 10 players when he is in the first eleven.I really cannot believe it’s only me that sees this.

  2. Cant understand giving Stering a start underperformed in all pre-season matches want him to prove me wrong but has yet to happen in any match he has started, better impact off the bench.
