Kier Doyle has done another great breakdown of a new Chelsea signing’s stats and video clips – in this case Romeo Lavia, who is about to arrive from Southampton for a fee significantly above £50m.
Although he likes a lot of the things he’s seeing, ultimately his conclusion is that Chelsea are paying a lot of money for a player with even less senior experience than you might think, and that you’d expect to get more established ability and less raw potential for that money.
