Romeo Lavia’s first interview as a Chelsea player is very entertaining, and features him talking about his new teammates, specifically those he’s played against before.
“Most of the time the players we’ve signed are players that I’ve played against and thought – oof – these players are good, so to be able to work with them is a great feeling.”
That’s really what you want to hear – players wanting to come and join your club just because they can see you’re signing some of the very best talents you’ve come up against.
When you’re a player as good as Lavia, that’s a huge compliment.
