Mauricio Pochettino was furious at the referee – and at a Wimbledon player – when the away team won a penalty early in the game at Stamford Bridge tonight.
After the game the Chelsea manager was asked about it, and he admitted “maybe I made a mistake” in reacting like that.
We can understand his frustration – it was clear that the madness with Andre Onana and Wolves a couple of weeks ago was affecting the referee here, and caused him to blow a very soft penalty for goalkeeper Sanchez’s clearance of the ball using his fist.
