Pochettino is a “huge admirer” of player Chelsea let to go Tottenham

We heard whispers last night in Matt Law’s piece that there was a crazy silly reason that Chelsea hadn’t moved to sign James Maddison from relegated Leicester City. And things get even worse the more you look at it.

Law claimed that Chelsea didn’t sign 26 year old Maddison, available for a bargain £40m, because they had a rule in place to sign only players 25 or below.

That reporting is backed up by Football Insider today, and they add that Mauricio Pochettino is a “huge admirer” of Maddison. The fact that Chelsea lost yesterday while the playmaker was instrumental in an impressive Tottenham win was salt in the wound.

One might think “OK, they signed Christopher Nkunku to play that position, so Maddison wasn’t necessary.” But then you realise we signed Cole Palmer, a far less accomplished player in the same position, on deadline day.

Make it make sense, as they say.

  1. Chelsea let go to Tottenham! Please, you do flatter yourself! You think everyone in the world wants to come to your club! Well Tottenham let Pochettino go to Chelsea, enjoy!

  2. Caceido/ Lavia will be the Madison . Just wait for few weeks soon this young group will gel . No matter how much this club spent , soon the hard work to invest will bring to a good result . Just a matter of time . Poch should make a right balance when doing a selection .

  3. Pochettino should not sign any player the place chelsea need to strength their player is only the striker and formation, the striker consist of nkunku, jackson, palmer the formation 4 3 3 the lineup of the player goalkeeper: sanchez defender: gusto to replace james, benoit, silva, chilwell midfielder: caicedo, enzo, lavia or gallagher, attacker: nkunku, jackson, palmer that is okay!

  4. And secondly pochettino should not blame any player, he should rather blame him self for not use 4 3 3 formation because jackson can not only be playing striker, look at palmer, mudryk, madueke, sterling he can use this 4 striker until the return of nkunku, broja and the rest striker pochettino remember always start with with palmer, jackson, mudryk.

  5. Pochettino must look for a formation that will relieve off pressure from our main striker Nicolas for now until Nkuku is back,or else we might as well end up losing him to injury
