Fans are generally very excited about having Mauricio Pochettino as coach, but there are already frustrations about his team selection and formations.
All season we’ve been playing essentially a back 4, with Levi Colwill at left back and Ben Chilwell at left wing.
We could easily have Chilwell at left back, Colwill replacing a central defender, and then have room for an extra attacker to play in Chilwell’s place on the left wing.
This fan on Chelsea Fan TV sums it up perfectly:

You can dispute all you like about what formation it actually is (as Pochettino has done) the question is basically why we are going out of our way to include as many defenders as possible in a team which has a problem scoring goals.

All the other coaches were fired because the team couldn’t create goal scoring opportunities, and lacked scoring skills. This coach was brought in to solve that dilemma, but instead, went on midfielders shopping spree. I wonder if the coach and the Chelsea owners understand the game, or see differently from the fans what the fans see. It is a shame
It’s true Chelsea need attackers more than defenders
Absolutely correct
I believe the team needs to play 4 at the back.. this coach had his team’s before with 4 at the back . Chelsea has a lot of attacking players ..why use wing backs
