Chelsea vs Hull Preview

Chelsea vs Hull

Flying Tigers looking to keep Mourinho’s men off the top spot, as we look to make it 3 wins from 3 in 2014

Steve Bruce has been doing a great job at Hull so far this season, no one expected them to be mid table at this point.

Hull have not beaten Chelsea since 1988 and Bruce’s personal record is not much better against the blues with one win in 18.

Although the last time Hull were at the KC Stadium they hammered Fulham 6-0, and with our away form being a bit hit and miss this season don’t expect a walkover.

At home we are in scintillating form with Oscar and Hazard really putting in some outstanding performances that has left Mata watching on from the bench. Considering Mata didn’t feature against Derby we would expect him to start with maybe Hazard rested for Willian and then Hazard to come on as an impact sub later in the game.

One thing that has really sharpened up is our defence, conceding just 1 goal in the last 5 games. With Ivanovic still out with a knee ligament injury, Azpilicueta can continue his great run of form in the first team – with Terry & Cahill in the centre, could we expect to see Luiz back in midfield in place of the injured Lampard?

Hopefully Torres will start against Hull and and follow with a run of appearances in the starting 11, once he bags a few goals his confidence will come rushing back.

We should come out on top, but it will be a close game.
